Yoga 101

Are you new to yoga? Not sure where to start? Or are you thirsty for more foundational knowledge? If so, our signature Yoga 101 course is for you!


This three-hour introduction to yoga crash course will introduce you to the fundamentals of Hatha yoga, the most widely practiced form of yoga in the United States.




Hatha yoga uses postures, breath awareness and relaxation techniques to produce a healthy physical body and a clear, peaceful mind. This crash course will help you to develop a safe understanding of basic yoga postures, their benefits and help you build confidence to move to the next level!

This three-hour class is for beginners and anyone wishing to deepen their practice will include:
  • Basic history of yoga
  • Overview of the various styles of yoga
  • Yoga studio etiquette
  • Discussions on Namaste and OM
  • Breath work
  • Step-back Sun Salutations
  • Standing and seated poses with an eye on proper alignment and modifications for each pose for all levels
  • Relaxation and meditation
  • Answers to any questions you have about yoga!


All you need to bring is a yoga mat and an open mind.


This course is designed for brand-new beginners of all fitness levels and will be a combination of discussion and yoga practice.

The total cost for this special introduction to yoga course is just $45 per student. Space is limited. Online registration below is required with payment due at enrollment.


NOTE: With your enrollment, you’ll also receive a single drop-in class to be used towards any class on our regular schedule. There are no make-up classes for this course. Missed classes are non-refundable/non-transferable. Please be sure to arrive prior to the start of each class as we will begin on time and late arrivals will not be admitted. No refunds after enrollment.



Heather Delia is the founder of Aspire Yoga Center and has experienced transformational benefits from yoga — physically, mentally and spiritually. Having taught more than 2,000 hours of yoga, she is an E-500 Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) through the Yoga Alliance. Heather has a deep desire to share the gift of yoga and her knowledge and passion for the practice with students.
