Don’t hate, appreciate!

Don’t hate, appreciate!

The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali teaches us to cultivate an attitude of joy towards those who are successful.

Easy, right?

Well, I’m sure there’s a time you can recall that you have been jealous or wanted something that someone else has. Maybe it was when you saw someone who can do a handstand, or has a job you want, a car you’d like to drive or a beautiful home?

Oftentimes jealousy happens because we begin to question whether there’s enough space for ‘me’ in the world to be successful, too. Ah, there’s that sneaky ego again!

Today, work on cultivating an attitude of joy for others who have the success that you’re looking for in your life.

Instead of begrudging, being a hater or wanting to take that person down, be happy they made it! Celebrate them and appreciate their successes. And let it be an opportunity to learn from them. Because if they can find that kind of success, so can you!

Someone else’s success doesn’t take anything away from you. There is enough space for you to succeed, too.

There is so much abundance in this life and the opportunities available to you are endless. Remember, you are always enough and there is an abundance of success to go around.

Take a moment right now to think of someone who is where you want to be or is experiencing the success you want to experience. Do you have that person in your mind? Now, be genuinely happy for what they have been able to accomplish and the success they are experiencing. Being happy for them takes nothing away from you as a person.

The energy we put out into the world is magnified and ends up coming back to us. Be joyful and spread joy today!
