What is Yoga?

What is Yoga?

So many of us seek and experience greater calm, relaxation, flexibility, strength and/or balance from a weekly asana class. So much so, in fact, that we often begin to sense that there is more to the practice of yoga.

And we are right!

Yoga is not all about the body, although affecting the body can serve us well.

Yoga is about living a life with more contentment, clarity and connectedness.

Yoga is about developing our ability for deep personal transformation. And it gives us a beautifully practical system to work toward our goals.

The Yoga Sutras of Patañjali are a rich, elegant and completely accessible guide to living a full and happy life.

This guide to yoga includes 196 Sutras, or threads, that are considered by scholars to be one of the foundations of classical yoga philosophy.

Whether you are curious about yoga, want to deepen your practice, are simply interested in Asian philosophy, or are looking for greater joy in your life, please join senior-level yoga teacher Jen Rault at Aspire for this not-to-miss workshop.
